In many industries, managing the complete approval lifecycle of a document is critical, yet often full of challenges. The combination of DALIM ES and DALIM Dialogue addresses these challenges by providing comprehensive tracking of all document revisions, comments, and approvals within DALIM ES. However, an issue arrises when third-party reviewers, often using more basic tools like Acrobat, enter the process. Their comments, typically left as PDF annotations, are frequently lost when the revised document is re-uploaded into DALIM ES, leading to missed feedback and potential delays.
In an ideal world, a document would never need to leave the DALIM Ecosystem, ensuring all notes, comments, and revisions remain centralised, secure, and easily accessible. However, we recognise that real-world workflows often involve external tools and reviewers. This is why we developed Adobe2Dalim - to bridge the gap between external PDF annotations and ES, ensuring no feedback is ever lost.
The Adobe2Dalim development allows you to convert PDF annotation objects into Dialogue Notes as a step in the document workflow. This means that as soon as the PDF gets re-uploaded into ES, the PDF notes can be extracted, converted into Dialogue notes, and placed precisely where the third-party reviewers left them - allowing you to have a comprehensive view of all annotation history directly within the high-resolution viewer.
Additionally, with the "Download Document with Notes" feature, external reviewers can easily access and view all comments made within Dialogue, ensuring a seamless and complete review process.
Adobe2Dalim supports the following PDF Annotation Types:
If you have specific requirements for other annotation types, don't hesitate to contact us. We are continuously looking to expand our capabilities and can explore adding support for additional formats.
If you're interested in taking advantage of Adobe2Dalim, simply send an email to the DALIM SOFTWARE Service team. We'd be more than happy to run your PDF samples through the tool to give you a demonstration of the results.
